SLIDING ROOF HOUSING(for Sliding roof) REMOVAL

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed and installed, or replaced during sliding roof glass sub-assembly, sliding roof housing sub-assembly, sliding roof drive gear assembly or sliding roof drive cable sub-assembly removal/installation are shown below.

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  2. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF SIDE GARNISH LH

      Remove the sliding roof side garnish LH from the rail.

      Detach the claw to remove the sliding roof side garnish LH.

  6. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Move the sliding roof glass sub-assembly to the fully closed position.

    2. Using a T25 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 4 "TORX" screws and sliding roof glass sub-assembly.

      Note

      When removing the sliding roof glass sub-assembly, move the sliding roof glass sub-assembly to the fully closed position.

  7. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF WEATHERSTRIP

      Remove the sliding roof weatherstrip from the sliding roof panel sub-assembly.

      Remove the clip.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the other 3 clips.

    2. Disconnect the 4 sliding roof drain hoses.

    3. Remove the 8 bolts, 8 nuts and sliding roof housing sub-assembly.

      If the removed nut is the same shape as that shown in the illustration, replace it the supplied replacement part.
