The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed or replaced during the rear seat assembly removal/installation are shown below.

Note
If the rear seat cushion airbag assembly LH was deployed, replace the rear seat cushion panel LH, rear seat cushion pad and separate type rear seat cushion cover with the necessary parts in accordance with the extent of the collision damage.
If the rear seat airbag assembly LH was deployed, replace the rear seat sub panel sub-assembly LH, separate type rear seatback pad and separate type rear seatback cover with the necessary parts in accordance with the extent of the collision damage.
Replace any other damaged parts as necessary.

PRECAUTION
CAUTION:
Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing.
Note
After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.
REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.
Note
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
for 8GR-FKS:

REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY LH

Place your hand in the position shown in the illustration and lift the rear seat cushion assembly LH in the removal direction and detach the hook.
Note
Detach each hook individually.
When the hook is detached, replace the rear seat cushion lock hook with a new one.

Rear Seat Cushion Airbag Assembly LH Connector |
Detach the wire harness clamp and disconnect the connector.
Disconnect the connector of the rear seat cushion airbag assembly LH.
Push down the white housing lock and slide the yellow CPA.

Note
Do not pull while holding the wire harness.
Do not try to release the lock while holding down the top of the CPA (A in the illustration), as this prevents the lock from being released.
Slide the yellow CPA while pushing down the white housing lock again, and disconnect the connector.
Using a clip remover, detach the clip.
w/ Refresh Seat:
Using a thin-bladed screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, detach the claw and disconnect the joint.

Remove the rear seat cushion assembly LH.

REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY RH

REMOVE REAR CENTER SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY
Slide the rear center seat lap type belt assembly RH.

Place your hand in the position shown in the illustration and lift the rear center seat cushion assembly in the removal direction and detach the hook.
Note
When the hook is detached, replace the rear seat cushion lock hook with a new one.

w/ Occupant Detection Sensor:
Detach the wire harness clamp and disconnect the connector.
Remove the rear center seat cushion assembly.

Do not damage the rear center seat cushion assembly, body and body interior.
REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK
Note
If the rear seat cushion hook is detached, replace the rear seat cushion lock hook with a new one.
Do not reuse the rear seat cushion lock hook after removing it.

Use the same procedure for the other side.

Insert 2 thin-bladed screwdrivers between the rear seat cushion lock hook sleeve and body as shown in the illustration.
Pull up the 2 thin-bladed screwdrivers to detach the claws and remove the rear seat cushion lock hook.

Remove the bolt and floor anchor of the rear seat outer belt assembly LH.
Remove the nut and floor anchor of the rear center seat outer belt assembly.

Remove the bolt and lift the connector holder.
Disconnect the 2 connectors.
Disconnect the connector of the rear seat airbag assembly LH.
Push down the white housing lock and slide the yellow CPA.

Note
Do not pull while holding the wire harness.
Do not try to release the lock while holding down the top of the CPA (A in the illustration), as this prevents the lock from being released.
Slide the yellow CPA while pushing down the white housing lock again, and disconnect the connector.
Disconnect the connector of the rear seat cushion airbag assembly LH.
Slide the white slider and disconnect the connector.

Disconnect the 4 connectors.
Detach the wire harness clamp.

Remove the 2 nuts.
Pull in the removal direction (1) shown in the illustration and disconnect the rear seatback assembly LH from the rear No. 2 seat adjuster assembly.
Lift in the removal direction (2) shown in the illustration and disconnect the rear seatback assembly LH from the No. 2 seat reclining adjuster assembly.
Using a clip remover, detach the clip and remove the rear seatback assembly LH.
Note
Do not damage the rear seatback assembly LH, body and body interior.

Pull in the removal direction (1) shown in the illustration and disconnect the rear seatback assembly RH from the No. 1 rear seat adjuster assembly.
Lift in the removal direction (2) shown in the illustration and disconnect the rear seatback assembly RH from the No. 1 seat reclining adjuster assembly.
Using a clip remover, detach the clip and remove rear seatback assembly RH.
Note
Do not damage the rear seatback assembly RH, body and body interior.
REMOVE REAR CENTER SEAT ARMREST ASSEMBLY

Disconnect the connector.
w/ Rear Seat Entertainment System:
Disconnect the 2 connectors.
Detach the clamp and remove the connector holder.
Remove the 2 bolts.
Using a clip remover, detach the clip and fold back the armrest cover.
Remove the 2 nuts and rear center seat armrest assembly.
Note
Do not damage the rear seat center armrest assembly, body and body interior.

Pull in the removal direction shown in the illustration to detach the clip and claw.
Detach the claw and guide and remove the belt guides of the rear seat outer belt assembly LH and rear center seat outer belt assembly.

Pull the rear seat outer belt assembly LH and rear center seat outer belt assembly out of the room partition board assembly LH and remove the room partition board assembly LH.
REMOVE ROOM PARTITION BOARD ASSEMBLY RH

Remove the nut.
Pull in the removal direction shown in the illustration to detach the clip and claw.
Detach the claw and guide and remove the belt guide of the rear seat outer belt assembly RH.

Remove the 6 nuts.
