HEADLIGHT LEVELING ECU REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION (w/ AVS)

    Note

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative(-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  2. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL (w/ AVS)

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  4. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH

  5. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX INSERT

  6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

    Click here

  7. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH

  8. REMOVE ACCELERATOR PEDAL PAD (for LHD)

  9. REMOVE ACCELERATOR PEDAL ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

  10. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

  11. REMOVE ACCELERATION SENSOR (w/ AVS)

  12. REMOVE HEADLIGHT LEVELING ECU ASSEMBLY

      Disengage the 2 claws to separate the front floor carpet assembly from the 2 floor carpet hooks.

    2. for LHD:

        B008GB8 Fastener

        Using a clip remover, remove the clip.

      2. Disengage the clamp.

      3. Disengage each fastener and turn back the front floor carpet assembly as shown in the illustration.

    3. for RHD:

        Disengage the clamp.

      2. Disengage the fastener and turn back the front floor carpet assembly as shown in the illustration.

    4. for LHD:

        Disengage the 2 clamps to remove the No. 3 dash panel insulator pad.

    5. for RHD:

        B008GB8 Fastener

        Disengage the fastener to remove the No. 3 dash panel insulator pad.

    6. B004EKU

      Remove the bolt to disconnect the earth wire.

    7. Using a clip remover, disengage the 3 clips to disconnect the connector holder.

      Disconnect the connector.

    9. Disengage the clamp.

    10. Remove the nut and bolt.

    11. Disengage the guide to remove the headlight leveling ECU assembly.
