NAVIGATION ANTENNA REMOVAL

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed or replaced during the navigation antenna assembly removal/installation are shown below.

  1. PRECAUTION

    Be sure to read precaution thoroughly before servicing.

    Note

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL


    CAUTION:


    • Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    • If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  4. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD ASSEMBLY

      1. Detach the clamp.

      2. Remove the 2 screws and the navigation antenna assembly with bracket.

  9. REMOVE NAVIGATION ANTENNA ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET (for RHD)


    1. Detach the clamp.

    2. Remove the 2screws and the navigation antenna assembly with bracket.

  10. REMOVE NAVIGATION ANTENNA ASSEMBLY

      Detach the claw.

    2. Disconnect the connector and remove the antenna cord sub-assembly.

      Detach the claw.

    4. While moving the navigation antenna assembly in the direction indicated in the illustration, detach the guide and remove the navigation antenna assembly from the navigation antenna bracket.
