VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM Slip Indicator Light does not Come ON

DESCRIPTION

The brake actuator assembly (skid control ECU) is connected to the combination meter via CAN communication.

The Slip indicator light blinks during VSC, TRC operation.

If any of the fallowing is defected, the Slip indicator light remains on:

• The brake actuator assembly (skid control ECU) connectors are disconnected from the brake actuator (skid control ECU).

• There is a malfunction in the brake actuator assembly (skid control ECU) internal circuit.

• There is an open in the harness between the combination meter and the brake actuator assembly (skid control ECU).

• The VSC, TRC control system is defective.

  Tech Tips

  In same cases, the intelligent tester is used when the brake actuator assembly (skid control ECU) is abnormal.

2. CHECK SLIP INDICATOR LIGHT

   
   

   1. Disconnect the brake actuator assembly (skid control ECU) connector.

   2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

   3. Check that the Slip indicator light comes on.

3. INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

   2. Perform Active Test of the combination meter assembly using the intelligent tester Click here.

      OK
      The Slip indicator light turns ON or OFF in accordance with the intelligent tester.
