FRONT SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

    CAUTION:


    • The nuts must not be reused.

    • Make sure that the front seat frame with adjuster assembly is not deformed. If it is, replace it with a new one.


    1. A01CCL2

      Install the front seat side airbag assembly with 2 new nuts.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }
    2. A01CEUJ

      Engage the 3 clamps.

    3. A01CFR5E01

      Engage the claw and 5 clamps to connect the wire harness.

    4. Connect the connector.

  2. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD (for Manual Seat)


    1. Temporarily install the separate type front seatback cover with pad to the front seatback frame.

    2. A01CEI0

      Engage the 4 claws to install the 2 front seat headrest supports.

    3. A01CALQ

      Install the nut to connect the separate type front seatback cover bracket.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

      Note


      • For a vehicle with side airbag, the side airbag may not be activated normally unless the seatback cover is securely installed.

      • Check that the strap has no twist after installing the bracket.

    4. A01CCOA

      Using hog ring pliers, install the 2 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the cover.

      • When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.

    5. A01CCPT

      Close the 2 fasteners.

    6. A01CDNT

      Using hog ring pliers, install the 3 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the cover.

      • When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.

  3. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD (for Driver Side Power Seat)


    1. Temporarily install the separate type front seatback cover with pad.

    2. A01CEI0

      Engage the 4 claws to install the 2 front seat headrest supports.

    3. A01CFXQ

      Install the nut.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }
    4. A01CDX5

      Engage the 12 hooks.

      for Leather Seat:


      1. Engage the 2 clamps.

      2. Connect the connector.

    6. A01CC3B

      Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seatback cover with pad with 3 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the cover.

      • When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.

      Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seatback cover with pad with 2 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the cover.

      • When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.

  4. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD (for Passenger Side Power Seat)


    1. Temporarily install the separate type front seatback cover with pad.

    2. Connect the connector to the power seat switch assembly.

      Engage the 2 claws to install the power seat switch assembly.

    4. A01CEI0

      Engage the 4 claws to install the 2 front seat headrest supports.

    5. A01CFGR

      Install the nut.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }
    6. A01CDX5

      Engage the 12 hooks.

      for Leather Seat:


      1. Engage the 2 clamps.

      2. Connect the connector.

      Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seatback cover with pad with 3 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the cover.

      • When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.

      Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seatback cover with pad with 2 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the cover.

      • When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.

  5. INSTALL FRONT SEAT BACK HOOK (for Manual Seat)


    1. A01CCG6

      Engage the claw.

    2. Install the front seatback hook with the screw.

  6. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ARMREST ASSEMBLY


    1. A01CEO4

      Install the front seat armrest assembly with the bolt.

      Torque:
      37 N*m  { 377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf }

  7. INSTALL SEAT ARMREST COVER


    1. A01CBE2

      Engage the 3 claws to install the seat armrest cover.

  8. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat)


    1. A01CFQE

      Engage the 2 guides.

    2. Install the front seatback board sub-assembly with the 2 screws.

  9. INSTALL LOWER NO. 2 FRONT SEATBACK LOCK BEZEL (for Power Seat)


    1. A01CCUL

      Engage the 4 claws.

    2. Install the lower No. 2 front seatback lock bezel with the 2 screws.

  10. INSTALL LOWER NO. 1 FRONT SEATBACK LOCK BEZEL (for Power Seat)


    1. A01CGHW

      Engage the 4 claws.

    2. Install the lower No. 1 front seatback lock bezel with the 2 screws.

  11. INSTALL FOOTREST ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat)


    1. A01CDW6

      Install the footrest assembly with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      32 N*m  { 326 kgf*cm, 24 ft.*lbf }

  12. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD (for Manual Seat)


    1. A01CAMN

      Engage the guide.

    2. Engage the clip and the claw.

    3. Install the front seat inner cushion shield with the screw.

  13. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD (for Manual Seat)

      Engage the guide.

    2. Engage the clip and the claw.

    3. Install the front seat cushion shield with the screw.

      Engage the 2 hooks (front seatback pocket clip).

  14. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE (for Manual Seat)

      Engage the claw to install the reclining adjuster release handle.

    2. Install the front seat cushion shield to the No. 1 front seat cushion inner shield with the screw.

  19. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD (for Passenger Side Power Seat)


    1. A01CCTQ

      Engage the 7 claws, clip and 2 guides.

    2. Install the front seat inner cushion shield and No. 2 reclining adjuster inside cover RH with the 2 screws.

  20. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD (for Passenger Side Power Seat)


    1. Connect the connector.

    2. Engage the 2 clamps.

    3. A01CFUD

      Engage the 8 claws and 2 guides.

    4. Install the front seat cushion shield and No. 2 reclining adjuster inside cover LH with the 3 screws.

    5. A01CFNA

      Engage the 2 hooks.

  21. INSTALL SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB (for Driver Side Power Seat)


    1. A01CD2S

      Install the slide and vertical power seat switch knob.

  22. INSTALL SLIDE POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB (for Passenger Side Power Seat)

      Install the slide power seat switch knob.

  23. INSTALL RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB (for Power Seat)

      Install the reclining power seat switch knob.

  24. INSTALL LOWER FRONT SEAT LEG COVER (for Manual Seat)

      Install the lower front seat leg cover.

  25. INSTALL LOWER FRONT SEAT LEG COVER (for Driver Side Power Seat)

      Install the lower front seat leg cover.

  27. INSTALL FRONT SEAT LEG ASSEMBLY (for Manual Seat)

      Install the front seat leg assembly with the 5 nuts.

      Torque:
      20 N*m  { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

    2. Engage the 2 clamps.

    3. Connect each connector.

  28. INSTALL FRONT SEAT LEG ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side Power Seat)


    1. A01CBMZ

      Install the front seat leg assembly with the 5 nuts.

      Torque:
      20 N*m  { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

    2. Engage the 2 clamps.

    3. Connect the 2 connectors.

  29. INSTALL FRONT SEAT LEG ASSEMBLY (for Passenger Side Power Seat)


    1. A01CCEX

      Install the front seat leg assembly with the 5 nuts.

      Torque:
      20 N*m  { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

    2. Engage the 2 clamps.

    3. Connect the 2 connectors.

  30. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Manual Seat)

      Place the front seat assembly in the cabin.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    2. A01CAQF

      Connect each connector.

    3. Temporarily install the front seat assembly with the 4 bolts.

    4. Lift up the seat track adjusting handle and move the seat to the rearmost position.

    5. A01CEGBE01

      Tighten the 2 bolts on the front side of the seat.

      Torque:
      39 N*m  { 398 kgf*cm, 29 ft.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      Tighten the bolts in the order indicated in the illustration.

    6. A01CBYK

      Engage the 2 claws and the guide to close the cover.

    7. A01CB6N

      Engage the 2 claws and the guide to close the cover.

    8. Lift up the seat track adjusting handle and move the seat to the foremost position.

    9. A01CBJRE01

      Tighten the 2 bolts on the rear side of the seat.

      Torque:
      39 N*m  { 398 kgf*cm, 29 ft.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      Tighten the bolts in the order indicated in the illustration.

  31. INSPECT FOR FRONT SEAT SLIDE ADJUSTER LOCKS (for Manual Seat)


    1. During sliding operation of the front seat, check that the left and right adjusters move together smoothly and lock simultaneously. If the seat adjusters do not lock simultaneously, loosen the bolts securing the seat to adjust the adjuster position.

  32. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side Power Seat)


    1. A01CFBA

      Place the front seat assembly in the cabin.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    2. A01CAQF

      Connect the 2 connectors.

    3. Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.

      Note

      When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

    4. Temporarily install the front seat assembly with the 4 bolts.

    5. Operate the slide and vertical power seat switch knob and move the seat to the rearmost position.

      Tighten the 2 bolts on the front side of the seat.

      Torque:
      39 N*m  { 398 kgf*cm, 29 ft.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      Tighten the bolts in the order indicated in the illustration.

    7. A01CBYK

      Engage the 2 claws and guide to close the cover.

    8. A01CB6N

      Engage the 2 claws and guide to close the cover.

    9. Operate the slide and vertical power seat switch knob and move the seat to the foremost position.

    10. A01CBJRE01

      Tighten the 2 bolts on the rear side of the seat.

      Torque:
      39 N*m  { 398 kgf*cm, 29 ft.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      Tighten the bolts in the order indicated in the illustration.
