DESCRIPTION

This DTC indicates a malfunction in the ECM.

  • When the ignition switch is turned ON, STP signals input to the ECM supervisory CPU and control ECU are different for approximately 0.2 seconds or more.

  • While the dynamic radar cruise control system is operating, the dynamic radar cruise control system control of vehicle speed is not canceled approximately 0.4 seconds have passed after cruise cancel input signal (STP input) is input to the ECM.

Tech Tips

The ECM receives signals from each sensor to control all the functions of the dynamic radar cruise control system with the supervisory CPU and control ECU. When a malfunction is detected, the fail-safe remains on until the ignition switch is turned off.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK FOR DTCs


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Clear the DTCs.

      1. for 2AD-FHV, 2AD-FTV:


        Powertrain > Radar Cruise1 > Clear DTCs

      2. for 2AR-FE, 3ZR-FE, 3ZR-FAE:


        Powertrain > Radar Cruise1 > Clear DTCs

      3. for 2WW:


        Powertrain > Cruise Control > Clear DTCs

    4. Make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

      Tech Tips

      If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.

    5. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Radar Cruise1 / Trouble Codes.

    6. Check for DTCs.
