DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when LIN communication between the power window regulator motor assembly (for driver door) and main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) stops for 10 seconds or more.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note


  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

  • When a power window regulator motor assembly is replaced or removed and reinstalled, it requires initialization,


    • w/ Jam Protection Function on 4 Windows: Click here

      w/ Jam Protection Function on Front Door Windows: Click here

  • When using the intelligent tester to troubleshoot with the ignition switch off:

    Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3, and turn the courtesy switch on and off at 1.5-second intervals until communication between the intelligent tester and vehicle begins.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT


    1. Clear the DTC Click here.

    2. Recheck for DTCs.

      Result
      Result Proceed to
      Only DTC B2321 is output. A
      DTC B1206 and B2321 are output simultaneously. B

      When DTC B1206 and B2321 are output simultaneously, perform troubleshooting for DTC B1206 first.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MASTER SWITCH - DRIVER DOOR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR)


    1. Disconnect the K3*1, J3*2 or K15*3 multiplex network master switch connector.

    2. Disconnect the K9*1, *3 or J9*2 power window regulator motor (for driver door) connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      K3-16 (LIN2) - K9-9 (LIN)*1

      J3-16 (LIN2) - J9-9 (LIN)*2

      K15-7 (LIN2) - K9-9 (LIN)*3

      		 Always Below 1 Ω

      K3-16 (LIN2) - Body ground*1

      J3-16 (LIN2) - Body ground*2

      K15-7 (LIN2) - Body ground*3

      		 Always 10 kΩ or higher

      • *1: w/ Jam Protection Function on 4 Windows for LHD

      • *2: w/ Jam Protection Function on 4 Windows for RHD

      • *3: w/ Jam Protection Function on Front Door Windows

    1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      J9-2 (B) - Body ground*2

      		 Always 11 to 14 V

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
