4WD CONTROL ECU(for RHD) REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  3. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

  4. REMOVE INNER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL BRACKET COVER RH

  5. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

  7. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH

    Click here

  8. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH

    Click here

  9. REMOVE NO. 1 SWITCH HOLE BASE

    Click here

  10. REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL

  11. REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIR BAG ASSEMBLY

  12. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL BOX ASSEMBLY

  13. REMOVE COWL SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK RH

  14. REMOVE 4WD CONTROL ECU

      Remove the bolt.

    2. Detach the 2 guides and disconnect the 4 wheel drive control ECU.

    3. Disconnect the 2 connectors from the 4 wheel drive control ECU.
