Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the driver side of RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedures listed below are for the driver side of an LHD vehicle.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL LOWER NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY


    1. Attach the hooks on the back of the lower No. 2 instrument panel airbag to the glove compartment door and press in the entire lower No. 2 instrument panel airbag to install it.

    2. Install the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Confirm that the lower No. 2 instrument panel airbag assembly is installed securely without any excessive gaps and is not protruding outward.

    3. Attach the harness clamp to connect the airbag harness to the glove compartment door assembly.

  2. INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT PANEL


    1. Attach the 8 claws to install the glove compartment panel to the glove compartment door assembly.

  3. INSTALL NO. 2 GLOVE COMPARTMENT PLATE


    1. Attach the 3 claws to install the No. 2 glove compartment plate to the glove compartment door assembly.

  4. CONNECT GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR STOPPER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Connect the 2 glove compartment door stopper sub-assemblies to the glove compartment door assembly with the 4 screws.

  5. INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY

  6. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  7. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH

  8. INSTALL CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL

  9. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  10. PERFORM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK
