INSPECT TIMING BELT

REPLACE TIMING BELT

INSPECT TIMING BELT PULLEY (for 1KD-FTV, 2KD-FTV)

CLEAN TIMING BELT COVER (for 1KD-FTV, 2KD-FTV)

1. Remove the timing belt cover.

2. Check that the timing belt cover is not dirty.

3. If cleaning a timing belt cover, blow compressed air to clean it.

4. Reinstall the timing belt cover.

INSPECT VALVE CLEARANCE

INSPECT DRIVE BELT

REPLACE DRIVE BELT (for 5L-E)

1. Replace the drive belt Click here.

REPLACE ENGINE OIL AND OIL FILTER

INSPECT COOLING AND HEATER SYSTEM

1. Check that the radiator, condenser and/or intercooler is not blocked with leaves, dirt or insects, and clean them if necessary. Also check the hose connection for the installation condition, corrosion, etc.

INSPECT ENGINE COOLANT

REPLACE ENGINE COOLANT

INSPECT EXHAUST PIPES AND MOUNTINGS

1. Visually check the pipes, hangers and connections for severe corrosion, leaks or damage.

REPLACE DPR HOSES (w/ DPF)

1. Replace the DPR hoses (No. 1 exhaust pipe air hose and No. 7 exhaust pipe air hose) Click here.

REPLACE SPARK PLUGS

INSPECT BATTERY

REPLACE FUEL FILTER

INSPECT WATER SEDIMENT ACCUMULATOR

1. Inspect the water sediment accumulator Click here.

2. Inspect the fuel filter level warning switch.

INSPECT AIR CLEANER FILTER (for Panel Type)

1. Remove the air filter.

2. Visually check that the air filter is not excessively damaged, dirt or oily.

3. Clean the filter with compressed air.

   First blow from the inside thoroughly, and then blow from the outside of the filter.

4. Reinstall the air filter.

INSPECT AIR CLEANER FILTER (for Cylinder Type)

REPLACE AIR CLEANER FILTER

1. Replace the air filter with a new one.

CLEAN AIR FLOW METER (for 1KD-FTV)

1. Blow air to the sensor intermittently for approximately 30 seconds.

INSPECT VACUUM PUMP OIL HOSE (for 5L-E)

1. Visually check the vacuum pump oil hose for cracks, leakage, loose connections and deformation.

INSPECT FUEL TANK CAP GASKET

INSPECT FUEL LINES AND CONNECTIONS, FUEL TANK VAPOR VENT SYSTEM HOSES AND FUEL TANK BANDS

1. Visually check the fuel lines for cracks, leakage, loose connections, deformation or tank band looseness.

INSPECT CHARCOAL CANISTER
