The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed or replaced during the electrical key antenna removal/installation are shown below.

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION (w/ Hands Free Power Trunk Lid)

    CAUTION:

    Be sure to read precaution thoroughly before servicing.

    Note

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Hands Free Power Trunk Lid)

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL (w/ Hands Free Power Trunk Lid)

    CAUTION:


    • Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    • If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  4. REMOVE REAR BUMPER ASSEMBLY

  6. REMOVE ELECTRICAL KEY ANTENNA

      B004UK4 Nut

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Remove the nut, detach the guide and remove the electrical key antenna.

      Note

      Do not reuse parts if dropped or subjected to any strong impact.
