The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed or replaced during No. 1 clearance warning buzzer removal/installation are shown below.

  1. PRECAUTION

    Be sure to read precaution thoroughly before servicing.

    Note

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL


    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

      CAUTION:


      • Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

      • If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.

      When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

      1. Using a clip remover, detach the clamp and remove the No. 1 clearance warning buzzer.

      2. Disconnect the connector.
