INPUT SHAFT OIL SEAL REMOVAL

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization, or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed and installed, or replaced during hybrid vehicle transmission assembly type T oil seal removal/installation are shown below.

Note

After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

    The engine assembly with hybrid vehicle transmission assembly is very heavy. Be sure to follow the procedure described in the repair manual, or the engine lifter may suddenly drop or the engine assembly with hybrid vehicle transmission assembly may fall off the engine lifter.

    The hybrid vehicle transmission assembly is very heavy. Be sure to follow the procedure described in the repair manual, or the transmission jack may suddenly drop or a part may fall.

Note

After the power switch is turned off, the navigation system requires approximately a minute to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch off, wait a minute or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

      *a Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, remove the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly type T oil seal from the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly.

      Note

      When removing the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly type T oil seal, make sure not to damage the input shaft assembly or hybrid vehicle transmission assembly.

      Tape the screwdriver before use.
