The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization, or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed and installed, or replaced during parking assist ECU removal/installation are shown below.

PRECAUTION
Note
After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
Note
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL GARNISH RH
REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH
REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
DISCONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
REMOVE PARKING ASSIST ECU
Remove the bolt and nut.

Remove in this Direction |
Disengage the clamp and pull the wire harness protector as shown in the illustration.
Disconnect each connector.

Remove the 2 nuts and parking assist ECU as shown in the illustration.
