The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed and installed, or replaced during transmission revolution sensor removal/installation are shown below.

Front wheel alignment adjustment
  1. Clear zero point calibration data and system information.

  2. Perform yaw rate and acceleration sensor zero point calibration and store system information.


  • VSC disabled or malfunctions

  • Slip indicator light illuminates

  • ABS warning light illuminates

  • Theft deterrent system (tilt sensor) (w/ TFT Meter Type)

    The engine assembly with transaxle is very heavy. Be sure to follow the procedure described in the repair manual, or the engine lifter may suddenly drop or the engine assembly with transaxle may fall off the engine lifter.

  • If automatic transaxle parts are replaced, refer to Parts Replacement Compensation Table to determine if any additional operations are necessary.

  • Since the transmission revolution sensor (NC) is installed to the front planetary gear sub-assembly, it is necessary to disassemble the automatic transaxle before removing the transmission revolution sensor (NC). Refer to Automatic Transaxle Unit.

  1. REMOVE TRANSMISSION VALVE BODY ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE TRANSMISSION REVOLUTION SENSOR (NC3)

      Disconnect the transmission revolution sensor (NC3) connector.

      Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the bolt and transmission revolution sensor (NC3) from the automatic transaxle case sub-assembly.

  3. REMOVE TRANSMISSION REVOLUTION SENSOR (NT)

      Remove the bolt and transmission revolution sensor (NT) from the automatic transaxle case sub-assembly.
