For the purpose of reuse, never disassemble and repair the following parts. Even in cases of a minor collision where the SRS does not deploy, the following parts should be inspected; * Never use SRS parts from another vehicle. When replacing parts, replace with new parts. If the vehicle is equipped with a mobile communication system, refer to the precaution in the IN section of the Repair Manual. After work on the SRS is completed, check the SRS warning light. Information labels are attached to the periphery of the SRS components. Follow the instructions of the notice. * Use a volt/ohmmeter with high impedance (10 kΩ/V minimum) for troubleshooting electrical circuits of the system. However, it is not possible to make a record of these memory contents. So when the work is finished, it will be necessary to explain it to your customer, and ask the customer to adjust the features and reset the memory. * * * Work must be started more than 90 seconds after the ignition or starter switch assembly is turned to the "LOCK" position When the negative (-) terminal cable is disconnected from the battery, the memory of the clock and audio system will be cleared. So before starting work, make a record of the contents in the audio memory system. When work is finished, reset the audio systems as they were before and adjust the clock. Some vehicles have power tilt steering, power telescopic steering, power seat and power outside rear view mirror which are all equipped with memory function. * Before repair, remove the airbag sensor if shocks are likely to be applied to the sensor during repair. NOTICE : When inspecting or repairing the SRS, perform service in accordance with the following precautionary instructions and the procedure, and precautions in the Repair Manual applicable for the model year. Malfunction symptoms of the SRS are difficult to confirm, so the DTCs become the most important source of information when troubleshooting. When troubleshooting the SRS, always inspect the DTCs before disconnecting the battery. * * * (The SRS is equipped with a back-up power source so that if work is started within 90 seconds from disconnecting the negative (-) terminal cable of the battery, the SRS may deploy.) To avoid erasing the memory in each system, never use a back-up power supply from outside the vehicle. * Do not expose the following parts directly to hot air or flame; (Ignition switch type) or the engine switch is pushed to the "OFF" position (Engine switch type) and the negative (-) terminal cable is disconnected from the battery. * Knee airbag assembly * Rear airbag sensor assembly * Side airbag sensor assembly * Front airbag sensor assembly * Curtain shield airbag assembly * Front passenger airbag assembly * Side airbag assembly * Steering wheel pad * Seat belt pretensioner * Center airbag sensor assembly 2 DE 75 3A 1 3B 23 3B 11 3B (IG) 6 DD 10A ECU-IG NO.2 56 3C 8 3B 54 3C 6 3B Airbag ECU Assembly D10(A),G23(B),H12(C) SRS D66 Combination Meter 5V (*17 RHD) W-B (*17 LHD) W-B (IG) 1 DM P 7.5A METER W W W 30 DB 12 DH 24 3B 12 3C (BAT) 2 1 10A ECU-B 39 IG+ LED Driver 40 B CAN Controller CANH 22 CANL ET 21 Telltale Light Assembly D68(A),D135(B) Airbag ECU Assembly D10(A),G23(B),H12(C) P- D+ P+ D- Spiral Cable Sub-Assembly D6(A),z4(B) 1 A 2 A 2 B 1 B Driver Side Squib Circuit z4(B) Spiral Cable PASSENGER AIRBAG ON-OFF Indicator W CANL A 22 B CANH A 13 B W L W 23 W L W L L W CPU 3 4 3 4 2 1 2 1 L+ L- R- R+ ICL+ ICL- ICR- ICR+ W-B 28 DE * 1 :Before Jun. 2010 Production (*1) (*1) (*1) 9 B 9 A (*2) 20 B (*1) 20 A 1 A 1 B 12 A 12 B (*1) (*2) (*1) (*1) * 2 :From Jun. 2010 Production *13 :Before Nov. 2011 Production *14 :From Nov. 2011 Production (*14) (*13) B 21 A B 10 2 13 A B 22 A B (*14) (*13) 11 1 12 A *13 :Before Nov. 2011 Production *14 :From Nov. 2011 Production Junction Connector D91(A),(B) B 2 A B (*14) (*13) 1 1 2 A *16 :From Mar. 2012 Production *15 :Before Mar. 2012 Production 14 A (*16) 15 A (*15) B 4 A 4 B 5 A 6 B 7 A 7 (*18) B 11 (*17) A 2 *18 :From Feb. 2014 Production *17 :Before Feb. 2014 Production W-B (*18 LHD) W-B (*18) W-B (*18 RHD) Junction Connector D90(A),D119(B) * Dz2 Dz2 AD8 AD4 AD4 AD8 D1 D1 D2 D4 D2 D1
