For the purpose of reuse, never disassemble and repair the following parts. Even in cases of a minor collision where the SRS does not deploy, the following parts should be inspected; * Never use SRS parts from another vehicle. When replacing parts, replace with new parts. If the vehicle is equipped with a mobile communication system, refer to the precaution in the IN section of the Repair Manual. After work on the SRS is completed, check the SRS warning light. Information labels are attached to the periphery of the SRS components. Follow the instructions of the notice. * Use a volt/ohmmeter with high impedance (10 kΩ/V minimum) for troubleshooting electrical circuits of the system. However, it is not possible to make a record of these memory contents. So when the work is finished, it will be necessary to explain it to your customer, and ask the customer to adjust the features and reset the memory. * * * Work must be started more than 90 seconds after the ignition or starter switch assembly is turned to the "LOCK" position When the negative (-) terminal cable is disconnected from the battery, the memory of the clock and audio system will be cleared. So before starting work, make a record of the contents in the audio memory system. When work is finished, reset the audio systems as they were before and adjust the clock. Some vehicles have power tilt steering, power telescopic steering, power seat and power outside rear view mirror which are all equipped with memory function. * Before repair, remove the airbag sensor if shocks are likely to be applied to the sensor during repair. NOTICE : When inspecting or repairing the SRS, perform service in accordance with the following precautionary instructions and the procedure, and precautions in the Repair Manual applicable for the model year. Malfunction symptoms of the SRS are difficult to confirm, so the DTCs become the most important source of information when troubleshooting. When troubleshooting the SRS, always inspect the DTCs before disconnecting the battery. * * * (The SRS is equipped with a back-up power source so that if work is started within 90 seconds from disconnecting the negative (-) terminal cable of the battery, the SRS may deploy.) To avoid erasing the memory in each system, never use a back-up power supply from outside the vehicle. * Do not expose the following parts directly to hot air or flame; (Ignition switch type) or the engine switch is pushed to the "OFF" position (Engine switch type) and the negative (-) terminal cable is disconnected from the battery. * Knee airbag assembly * Side airbag sensor assembly * Door side airbag sensor assembly * Front airbag sensor assembly * Curtain shield airbag assembly * Front passenger airbag assembly * Side airbag assembly * Steering wheel pad * Seat belt pretensioner * Center airbag sensor assembly * Rear airbag sensor assembly 2 2 B 1 B Driver Side Squib Circuit z4(B),z26(C) A 7 A 8 D2- D2+ Y-R Y-G D2+ D2- 4 A A 3 2 C 1 C 8 D 7 D PLR+ PLR- Y-B Y 1 G65 Rear Seat 3 Point Type Belt Assembly Outer LH 2 1 E 2 E PRR+ PRR- Y-B Y 1 H27 Rear Seat 3 Point Type Belt Assembly Outer RH 2 21 D 22 D BCL+ BCL- Y-B Y 2 G61 1 BFL+ BFL- 20 E 19 E BCR+ BCR- Y-B Y 2 H26 1 BFR+ BFR- BCL- BCL+ Side Airbag Sensor Assembly LH G60 BDL+ BDL- D 23 D 24 BBL- BBL+ G R 4 3 1 2 2 1 BDL- BDL+ 2 1 Door Side Airbag Sensor LH E22 Y Y-B Y Y-B BCR- BCR+ Side Airbag Sensor Assembly RH H25 BDR+ BDR- E 18 E 17 BBR- BBR+ G R 4 3 1 2 1 2 BDR- BDR+ 2 1 Door Side Airbag Sensor RH E21 Y Y-B Y Y-B D 17 D 9 LSP- LSP+ Y-B Y LSP- LSP+ 2 1 Front Seat Inner Belt Assembly LH G64 E 24 E 16 RSP- RSP+ Y-B Y RSP- RSP+ 2 1 Front Seat Inner Belt Assembly RH H29 RR- RR+ RL- RL+ Airbag ECU Assembly D10(A),G63(D),H28(E) W L Micro Controller 10A ECU-B 1 2 (BAT) 3C 12 3B 24 W W Combination Meter D66(A) W-B W-B W-B ET A 21 CANL CANH LED Driver A 39 A 40 IG+ B Airbag A 32 A 31 CAN I/F CAN Transceiver CAN Controller 7.5A METER DM 1 (IG) P W 4 (LHD) (RHD) CANL CANH 22 A 13 A I 1 Dz2 Dz2 AD6 AD6 DG5 DG5 DG4 AD8 AD4 AD4 AD8 EH1 EH1 EG1 EG1 AD3 DG4 D2 D1 D1 D4 D1 D2
