battery. (The SRS is equipped with a back-up power source so that if work is started within 90 seconds from disconnecting the negative (-) terminal cable of the battery, the SRS may deploy. ) * Malfunction symptoms of the SRS are difficult to confirm, so the DTCs become the most important source of information when troubleshooting. When troubleshooting the SRS, always inspect the DTCs before disconnecting the battery. * Rear airbag sensor assembly NOTICE : When inspecting or repairing the SRS, perform service in accordance with the following precautionary instructions and the procedure, and precautions in the Repair Manual applicable for the model year. * Side airbag sensor assembly * When the negative (-) terminal cable is disconnected from the battery, the memory of the clock and audio system will be cleared. So before starting work, make a record of the contents in the audio memory system. When work is finished, reset the audio systems as they were before and adjust the clock. Some vehicles have power tilt steering, power telescopic steering, power seat and power outside rear view mirror which are all equipped with memory function. However, it is not possible to make a record of these memory contents. So when the work is finished, it will be necessary to explain it to your customer, and ask the customer to adjust the features and reset the memory. To avoid erasing the memory in each system, never use a back-up power supply from outside the vehicle. * Knee airbag assembly GR (*8) V (*8) GR (*7) V (*7) 6 PAON 7 P-AB 4 PAON 13 P-AB * 7 : w/ LEXUS Navigation System * 8 : w/o LEXUS Navigation System * 7 : w/ LEXUS Navigation System * 8 : w/o LEXUS Navigation System PAON P-AB 23 A 17 A LA 21 LA 8 LD 17 LA 3 SB G ECM A6 V(*7) GR(*7) V(*8) GR(*8) V(*7) GR(*7) V(*8) GR(*8) V (*7) GR (*7) V (*8) GR (*8) 9 MPX1 3 MPX2 Power Window Regulator Master Switch Assembly M18 2 GR(*7) V(*7) V(*8) GR(*8) V(*7) GR(*7) V(*8) GR(*8) GR(*7) V(*7) V(*8) GR(*8) V(*7) GR(*7) V(*8) GR(*8) GR(*8) V(*8) GR(*7) V(*7) GR(*8) V(*8) GR(*7) V(*7) LG W Y PS GPS VPS Occupant Detection Sensor T17 3 1 2 6 15 7 PS GPS VPS GR Junction Connector A29(A), J10(B) BR Network Gateway ECU J76 GR GR SIL 7 R R DLC3 J21 24 GSW3 A GR LA 10 LA 9 24 GSW W DCM (Telematics Transceiver) J114 * If the vehicle is equipped with a mobile communication system, refer to the precaution in the IN section of the Repair Manual. * After work on the SRS is completed, check the SRS warning light. * Information labels are attached to the periphery of the SRS components. Follow the instructions of the notice. * Use a volt/ohmmeter with high impedance (10 kΩ/V minimum) for troubleshooting electrical circuits of the system. * If the following parts have been dropped, or have cracks, dents and other defects in their case, bracket, and connector replace with new one. * For the purpose of reuse, never disassemble and repair the following parts. * Never use SRS parts from another vehicle. When replacing parts, replace with new parts. * Even in cases of a minor collision where the SRS does not deploy, the following parts should be inspected; * Do not expose the following parts directly to hot air or flame; * Before repair, remove the airbag sensor if shocks are likely to be applied to the sensor during repair. * Steering wheel pad * Side airbag assembly * Front passenger airbag assembly * Curtain shield airbag assembly * Seat belt pretensioner * Center airbag sensor assembly * Front airbag sensor assembly 3 4 37 W 59 W W 10 DIA W 11 FSR+ W 12 FSR- B FSR+ B 12 FSR- B 13 W B B W Buckle Switch Tire Pressure Warning ECU and Receiver W B W B L W W B B W W L B 2 B 1 BR Junction Connector J80(B) IG2 Side Airbag Sensor Assembly LH Q53 Side Airbag Sensor Assembly RH P40 Rear Airbag Sensor LH Q54 Rear Airbag Sensor RH P41 z5(B) B Driver Side Squib Circuit D2- D2+ D- D+ Front Passenger Side Squib Circuit Front Passenger Side Squib 2nd Step Circuit A A 1 2 A A 4 3 B 2 1 C C 2 1 z6(C) Driver Side Squib 2nd Step Circuit Spiral Cable Sub-Assembly J25(A), z5(B), z6(C) A L-W L 19 B 12 10A DOME 1 (BAT) 2 Junction Connector A29(A), J10(B) B A 23 5 RK 2 (BAT) 1 10A MPX-B BECU 26 10A ECU-IG RH (IG) IG 15 JA5 JA5 MQ2 JP2 PT2 PT2 PT2 PT2 PT2 PT2 JA1 JA1 Ja1 Ja1 Ja1 Ja1 Qd1 Qd1 Pc1 Pc1 PQ2 MQ1 JA3 JA4 JA4 JA3 JA3 PT2 PT2 J1 J2 J4 J2 J4 J1 J4 J2 P1
