(The SRS is equipped with a back-up power source so that if work is started within 90 seconds from disconnecting the negative (-) terminal cable of the battery, the SRS may deploy. ) * Malfunction symptoms of the SRS are difficult to confirm, so the DTCs become the most important source of information when troubleshooting. When troubleshooting the SRS, always inspect the DTCs before disconnecting the battery. * Rear airbag sensor assembly NOTICE : When inspecting or repairing the SRS, perform service in accordance with the following precautionary instructions and the procedure, and precautions in the Repair Manual applicable for the model year. * Side airbag sensor assembly * When the negative (-) terminal cable is disconnected from the battery, the memory of the clock and audio system will be cleared. So before starting work, make a record of the contents in the audio memory system. When work is finished, reset the audio systems as they were before and adjust the clock. Some vehicles have power tilt steering, power telescopic steering, power seat and power outside rear view mirror which are all equipped with memory function. However, it is not possible to make a record of these memory contents. So when the work is finished, it will be necessary to explain it to your customer, and ask the customer to adjust the features and reset the memory. To avoid erasing the memory in each system, never use a back-up power supply from outside the vehicle. 1E 8 5M 7 5K 5 B 15 31 1E 1L 3 5M 8 5H 11 B 16 32 1E 1G 10 5M 9 5L 9 B 14 B A17(A), A18(B), A19(C) G W R 17 D 1 L H14 P LG Y 16 5H W L P W Y 20 LA 13 SIL TC 7 GSW2 11 TC SIL A/B 14 1L A 9 A 17 DSP+ DSP- L 9 Y C10 4 B B 2 14 4 21 SRS Power Supply Circuit R G BR G 4 4A S17 Y V 11 5D 1 3 16 22 10A GAUGE 1M 1 15A DOME 3 R R 5L 16 5D 7 13 V Y 1A 13 1L 8 J 6 4C DBE+ DBE- 4C 4 4H 15 V 10 A 18 A R VS GND Airbag Sensor Assembly Combination Meter Data Link Connector 3 Hybrid Vehicle Control ECU Junction Connector Seat Position Airbag Sensor 2 Buckle SW Seat Position Airbag Sensor 7. 5A IGN 1E 16 11 B W BR B 21 B IG2 (IG) (IG) (BAT) 10 21 B L 5 1 B 17 B 23 P-AB PAON Front Passenger Seat Belt Warning Light F11 P-AB PAON 5M 13 G R 1 2 BGND BSW GND W-B Buckle SW Front RH B16 W W W W W DIA 12 Occupant Classification ECU O 4(A), O 5(B) C 16 C 24 Y Y-B FSP+ FSP- FSP+ FSP- B O 9 5E 15 5H 7 1L (IG) A E B D 11 B B Junction Connector J20(A), J21(B) IG 10 L +B D D L Y Junction Connector J19 P B C B B A A A B B B B B Junction Connector J20(A), J21(B) A 1 A 2 B 1 B 2 B 11 SVC1 B 7 SIG1 B 1 SGD1 SVC1 SIG1 SGD1 1 2 3 R SB G Occupant Classification Sensor Front LH O 6 B 12 SVC2 B 8 SIG2 B 2 SGD2 SVC2 SIG2 SGD2 1 2 3 W L O Occupant Classification Sensor Front RH O 7 A 7 A 1 A 4 A 8 A 3 A 5 A 9 A 2 B 5 B 9 B 3 B 6 B 10 B 4 Occupant Classification ECU O 4(A), O 5(B) BR R V W Y GR 3 2 1 3 2 1 SGD4 SIG4 SVC4 SGD3 SIG3 SVC3 SGD4 SIG4 SVC4 SGD3 SIG3 SVC3 Occupant Classification Sensor Rear LH O 8 O 9 Occupant Classification Sensor Rear RH 7. 5A ECU-IG 15A ECU-B 1K 5 (BAT) P P Passenger Airbag ON/OFF Indicator * If the vehicle is equipped with a mobile communication system, refer to the precaution in the IN section of the Repair Manual. * After work on the SRS is completed, check the SRS warning light. * Information labels are attached to the periphery of the SRS components. Follow the instructions of the notice. * Use a volt/ohmmeter with high impedance (10 kΩ/V minimum) for troubleshooting electrical circuits of the system. * If the following parts have been dropped, or have cracks, dents and other defects in their case, bracket, and connector replace with new one. * For the purpose of reuse, never disassemble and repair the following parts. * Never use SRS parts from another vehicle. When replacing parts, replace with new parts. * Even in cases of a minor collision where the SRS does not deploy, the following parts should be inspected; * Do not expose the following parts directly to hot air or flame; * Before repair, remove the airbag sensor if shocks are likely to be applied to the sensor during repair. * Steering wheel pad * Side airbag assembly * Front passenger airbag assembly * Curtain shield airbag assembly IJ2 IJ2 IM2 IM2 IJ2 IJ2 BC1 BC1 BG1 BG1 IH1 IH1 IH1 IH1 IG2 IG1 IG2 IG1 IG2 IG2 IM1 II BP IH
