Follow the instructions of the notice. * Use a volt/ohmmeter with high impedance (10 kΩ/V minimum) for troubleshooting electrical circuits of the system. * If the following parts have been dropped, or have cracks, dents and other defects in their case, bracket, and connector replace with new one. * For the purpose of reuse, never disassemble and repair the following parts. * Never use SRS parts from another vehicle. When replacing parts, replace with new parts. * Even in cases of a minor collision where the SRS does not deploy, the following parts should be inspected; * Do not expose the following parts directly to hot air or flame; * Before repair, remove the airbag sensor if shocks are likely to be applied to the sensor during repair. * Steering wheel pad * Side airbag assembly * Front passenger airbag assembly * Curtain shield airbag assembly * Seat belt pretensioner * Center airbag sensor assembly * Front airbag sensor assembly * Work must be started more than 90 seconds after the power switch is pushed to the "OFF" position and the negative (-) terminal cable is disconnected from the battery. (The SRS is equipped with a back-up power source so that if work is started within 90 seconds from disconnecting the negative (-) terminal cable of the battery, the SRS may deploy.) * Malfunction symptoms of the SRS are difficult to confirm, so the DTCs become the most important source of information when troubleshooting. When troubleshooting the SRS, always inspect the DTCs before disconnecting the battery. * Rear airbag sensor assembly NOTICE :When inspecting or repairing the SRS, perform service in accordance with the following precautionary instructions and the procedure, and precautions in the Repair Manual applicable for the model year. * Side airbag sensor assembly * When the negative (-) terminal cable is disconnected from the battery, the memory of the clock and audio system will be cleared. So before starting work, make a record of the contents in the audio memory system. When work is finished, reset the audio systems as they were before and adjust the clock. Some vehicles have power tilt steering, power telescopic steering, power seat and power outside rear view mirror which are all equipped with memory function. However, it is not possible to make a record of these memory contents. So when the work is finished, it will be necessary to explain it to your customer, and ask the customer to adjust the features and reset the memory. To avoid erasing the memory in each system, never use a back-up power supply from outside the vehicle. * Knee airbag assembly A 6 A 3 5 A 9 W7 Rear Out Weight Detection Sensor Sub-Assembly W1 Rear In Weight Detection Sensor Sub-Assembly A 10 A 4 A GR SB W V B BR 1 2 3 1 2 3 9 B 5 B G P 10 2 Junction Connector S20 W W-B W W-B W2(A),W3(B) Occupant Detection ECU Center Airbag Sensor Assembly L16(A),R1(B),S1(C) Center Airbag Sensor Assembly L16(A),R1(B),S1(C) SFR+ SFR- 2 LSP+ LBE+ LSP- Seat Position Airbag Sensor LBE- Buckle Switch 12 B 11 B 13 B 14 B Buckle Switch 1 2 Front Seat Inner Belt Assembly RH W5 Driver Side Squib 2nd Step Circuit z7(B) L16(A),R1(B),S1(C) Center Airbag Sensor Assembly L16(A),R1(B),S1(C) Center Airbag Sensor Assembly Occupant Detection ECU W2(A),W3(B) ABFS Power Management Control ECU L5(C) 3A 12 3A 48 7 SIL DLC3 L61 P P W 12 1 W P 18 19 I/F CPU B IG+ 10A GAUGE 2A 31 (IG) L BR Combination Meter Assembly L27 7.5A ECU-B 1 (BAT) Y 2 2C 18 2A 37 R 30 CAN IC 11 10 CANL CANH ES 7 18 9 20 A57(A) ECM 3 L95 Junction Connector G R 5 16 CANL CANH P V V P V W 14 5 4 R G Junction Connector L94 Junction Connector L94 R G G R BE Y Y BE 29 C P-AB PAON PASSENGER AIR BAG OFF PASSENGER AIR BAG ON Passenger Seat Belt Warning Light Assembly M2 Dimmer Circuit 6 IG+ BCR+ G 11 G BBR+ BBR- 8 BBR- BBR+ C C R BCR- R BCR- BCR+ BCL+ G 15 G BBL+ BBL- 8 BBL- BBL+ B B R BCL- R BCL- BCL+ Front Side Airbag Sensor Assembly LH R9 Rear Side Airbag Sensor Assembly LH R12 Rear Side Airbag Sensor Assembly RH S9 Front Side Airbag Sensor Assembly RH S8 2 1 2 1 4 3 4 3 1 2 1 2 L L 5 L87 Junction Connector 2 3 10A IGN 2A 23 (IG) L 10 L 13 A 5 A W-B L93 Junction Connector 8 W-B 3 4 2B * 1 :w/ Safety Connect System 2A 38 2A 46 GSW3 R 24 A R GSW3 Telematics Transceiver L19 24 (*1) (*1) * If the vehicle is equipped with a mobile communication system, refer to the precaution in the IN section of the Repair Manual. * After work on the SRS is completed, check the SRS warning light. 1 2 1 14 7 8 2 B R B R B R 13 C FSR+ 12 C FSR- 8 B 4 B 1 4 L LG W B 7.5A ECU-B 1 2 (BAT) 10A IGN 2A 32 (IG) 2C 18 2A 48 3A 9 3B 84 3A 1 3B 73 SW1 LS1 IM1 LI2 AL3 SW1 SW1 SW1 LS1 LS1 SW1 SW1 LI2 IM1 IM1 LI2 LL1 LL1 LH1 LH1 AL9 AL9 AL6 LH1 LH1 AL6 AL3 S1 L3 L2 L1
