Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

  • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  • The following procedure is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL SEAT COVER WIRE

  2. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER

    Tech Tips

    When installing a separate type front seatback cover, refer to Precaution in order to prevent wrinkles from forming.

      *a Hog Ring Pliers

      for Standard Seat Type:


      1. Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seatback cover to the separate type front seatback pad with 10 new hog rings in the order indicated in the illustration.

        Note


        • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seatback cover.

        • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seatback cover.

      *a Fastening Tape
      *b Hog Ring Pliers

      for Sports Seat Type:


      1. Attach the fastening tape.

      2. Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seatback cover to the separate type front seatback pad with 10 new hog rings in the order indicated in the illustration.

        Note


        • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seatback cover.

        • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seatback cover.

      *a Fastening Tape
      *b Hog Ring Pliers

      w/ Front Passenger Side Folding Headrest:


      1. Pull out the strap of the separate type front seatback cover out of the hole of the separate type front seat cushion pad and attach the fastening tape.

      2. Using hog ring pliers, install 6 new hog rings securely.

        Note


        • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seatback cover.

        • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seatback cover.

    4. except Front Passenger Side Folding Headrest:


      1. B006C7VC01
        *a Hog Ring Pliers

        Pull out the strap of the separate type front seatback cover out of the hole of the separate type front seat cushion pad.

      2. Using hog ring pliers, install 4 new hog rings securely.

        Note


        • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seatback cover.

        • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seatback cover.
