DESCRIPTION

The navigation ECU and the radio and display receiver assembly are connected via LVDS communication line.

This DTC is stored when an LVDS communication error occurs between the navigation ECU and the radio and display receiver assembly.

When any of the following conditions is met:


  • Video signal (digital) is lost

  • Navigation ECU is not connected while the power switch is on (ACC) or on (IG)

  • Communication between the radio and display receiver assembly and the navigation ECU is not possible when the engine is started


  • Navigation ECU power source circuit

  • LVDS circuit between radio and display receiver assembly and navigation ECU

  • Navigation ECU

  • Radio and display receiver assembly

  • No. 1 navigation wire

Tech Tips

Even if no malfunction is present, this DTC may be stored depending on the auxiliary battery condition or hybrid control system start voltage.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK NO. 1 NAVIGATION WIRE (NAVIGATION ECU POWER SOURCE)


    1. Disconnect the Y3 navigation ECU connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Y3-2 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Y3-1 (B+) - Y3-2 (GND) Power switch off 11 to 14 V
      Y3-3 (ACC) - Y3-2 (GND) Power switch on (ACC) 11 to 14 V

  2. REPLACE NO. 1 NAVIGATION WIRE


    1. Replace the No. 1 navigation wire with a new or known good one Click here.

    2. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    3. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

  3. REPLACE NAVIGATION ECU


    1. Replace the navigation ECU with a new or known good one Click here.

    2. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    3. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

  4. CHECK NO. 1 NAVIGATION WIRE


    1. Disconnect the Y2 radio and display receiver assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the Y3 navigation ECU connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance:

      Y2-4 (+B2) - Y3-1 (B+) Always Below 1 Ω
      Y2-3 (ACC2) - Y3-3 (ACC) Always Below 1 Ω
