RADIO ANTENNA CORD REMOVAL

The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed or replaced during the antenna cord sub-assembly removal/installation are shown below.

    Be sure to read precaution thoroughly before servicing.

    Note

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:


    • Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    • If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  4. REMOVE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET

      2. Detach the clamp and remove the No. 4 antenna cord sub-assembly.

      Remove the 2 clips.

    2. Detach the clamp.

    3. Turn the front floor carpet assembly as shown in the illustration.

  11. REMOVE NO. 1 FLOOR HEATER AIR DUCT RH

    2. Detach the claw and remove the No. 1 floor heater air duct RH.

  12. REMOVE REAR FLOOR SILENCER

  13. REMOVE ROOM PARTITION PAD

      Turn the room partition pad as shown in the illustration.

  14. REMOVE REAR SIDE WINDOW CURTAIN ASSEMBLY RH

        Detach the clip and remove the rear side window curtain assembly RH.

  15. REMOVE NO. 1 ROOF SIDE AIR DUCT RH (w/ Rear Air Conditioning System)

      Remove the 2 clips and No. 1 roof side air duct RH.

  16. REMOVE FLOOR WIRE

      Detach the clamp of the wire harness protector and remove part of the floor wire.

      Detach the clamp of the wire harness protector and remove part of the floor wire.

  17. REMOVE ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. w/o Digital Audio Broadcasting Antenna:


      1. Remove the bolt in area A shown in the illustration.

      2. Detach the clamp in area A shown in the illustration.

      3. Disconnect the connector in area A shown in the illustration.

      4. Detach the clamp in area B shown in the illustration.

      5. Disconnect the connector in area C shown in the illustration.

      6. Detach the clamp in area C shown in the illustration.

      7. Disconnect the connector in area D shown in the illustration.

      8. Detach the clamp in area D shown in the illustration.

      9. Disconnect the 3 connectors in area E shown in the illustration.

      10. Detach the clamp in area E shown in the illustration and remove the antenna cord sub-assembly.

      1. Remove the bolt in area A shown in the illustration.

      2. Detach the clamp in area A shown in the illustration.

      3. Disconnect the 2 connectors in area A shown in the illustration.

      4. Detach the clamp in area B shown in the illustration.

      5. Disconnect the connector in area C shown in the illustration.

      6. Detach the clamp in area C shown in the illustration.

      7. Disconnect the 2 connectors in area D shown in the illustration.

      8. Detach the clamp in area D shown in the illustration.

      9. Disconnect the 4 connectors in area E shown in the illustration.

      10. Detach the clamp in area E shown in the illustration and remove the antenna cord sub-assembly.

      Disconnect the 2 connectors and remove the No. 2 antenna cord sub-assembly.
