PROCEDURE
INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY
Apply a light coat of engine oil to a new O-ring and install it to the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly.
Note
Do not damage the O-ring.
| *a | Torque Wrench Fulcrum Length |
| *b | 10 mm Union Nut Wrench |
Temporarily install the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly to the cylinder head cover sub-assembly with the bolt.
Note
If the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.
Do not allow foreign matter to contact the oil seal surface of the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly (connecting surface with the cylinder head cover sub-assembly).
Make sure that the O-ring is not cracked or moved out of place when installing the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly.
Using a 10 mm union nut wrench, tighten the bolt.
Tech Tips
Calculate the torque wrench reading when changing the fulcrum length of the torque wrench.
When using a 10 mm union nut wrench (fulcrum length of 22 mm (0.866 in.)) + torque wrench (fulcrum length of 162 mm (6.38 in.)):
8.8 N*m (90 kgf*cm, 78 in.*lbf)
Connect the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly connector.
Install the No. 2 intercooler cooling water pipe to the cylinder head cover sub-assembly with the bolt.
Install the engine wire to the cylinder head cover sub-assembly with the bolt.
