DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when items controlled by the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) cannot be customized via the audio and visual system vehicle customization screen.

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) controls the items for the following systems that are customizable via the multi-display screen:


  • Power door lock control system

  • Wireless door lock control system

  • Lighting system (INT)

  • Lighting system (EXT)

Note


  • When replacing the radio receiver assembly, always replace it with a new one.

    If a radio receiver assembly which was installed to another vehicle is used, the following may occur:


    • A communication malfunction DTC may be stored.

    • The radio receiver assembly may not operate normally.

  • Before replacing the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU), refer to Service Bulletin.

Tech Tips

Depending on the parts that are replaced during vehicle inspection or maintenance, performing initialization, registration or calibration may be needed. Refer to Precaution for Audio and Visual System.

    1. Use the GTS to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.

  6. CHECK CUSTOMIZE ITEMS


    1. Display the "Vehicle Customization" screen.

    2. Make a note of the customizable items for each main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) related system.

      These items shown as customizable via the audio and visual system vehicle customization screen can also be changed using the GTS. In a following step, the GTS will be used.


      1. To match-up the items in the multi-display with the items on the GTS, check the customize parameters list for the power door lock control system related items that can be customized via the multi-display screen.

      3. To match-up the items in the multi-display with the items on the GTS, check the customize parameters list for the lighting system (INT) related items that can be customized via the multi-display screen.

    3. Using the GTS, confirm that it is possible to change the settings of the customize parameters that are available for customization via the multi-display screen.
