DECELERATION SENSOR(for 4WD and Pre-Runner without VSC) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL DECELERATION SENSOR

   
   

   1. Install the deceleration sensor with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:

      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

      Note

      
      

      • Do not use any parts which have been dropped or struck.

      • After installation, check that nothing is caught between the deceleration sensor and body, causing it to tilt.

      • Do not do anything to deform the bracket of the sensor, such as kicking or stepping on it.

   2. Connect the deceleration sensor connector.

      Note

      Securely connect the deceleration sensor connector.

   3. Attach the fuel lid control cable clamp to the deceleration sensor.

4. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

   Note

   When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
