PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR

    Perform "Inspection After Repairs" after replacing the air fuel ratio sensor.



    1. w/ GPF:


      1. B008I14C01
        *a Torque Wrench Fulcrum Length

        Using SST, install the air fuel ratio sensor (Sensor 1).

        SST
        09224-00012
        Torque:
        Specified tightening torque
        44 N*m  { 449 kgf*cm, 32 ft.*lbf }

        Note

        Replace with a new part if it is dropped or if it receives a strong impact.

        Tech Tips


        • Calculate the torque wrench reading when changing the fulcrum length of the torque wrench.

        • When using SST (fulcrum length of 30 mm (1.18 in.)) + torque wrench (fulcrum length of 180 mm (7.09 in.)): 37.7 N*m (384 kgf*cm, 28 ft.*lbf)

      2. Connect the air fuel ratio sensor connector.

      3. Attach the 2 wire harness clamps.

        Using SST, install the air fuel ratio sensor (Sensor 2).

        Torque:
        Specified tightening torque
        44 N*m  { 449 kgf*cm, 32 ft.*lbf }

        Note

      5. Install a new gasket to the front exhaust pipe sub-assembly.

      6. Install a new gasket to the front No. 2 exhaust pipe sub-assembly.

      7. Install the front No. 2 exhaust pipe sub-assembly with the 4 bolts and 2 new nuts.

        Torque:
        43 N*m  { 438 kgf*cm, 32 ft.*lbf }

      8. Attach the 2 wire harness clamps to connect the wire harness to the wire harness clamp bracket.

      9. Connect the air fuel ratio sensor connector.

    2. w/o GPF:


      1. B008I14C01
        *a Torque Wrench Fulcrum Length

        Using SST, install the air fuel ratio sensor.
