REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY(for Fixed Seat Type) INSTALLATION

CAUTION:

When working with sharp areas such as the rear seatback assembly frame, wear protective gloves to prevent injury to your hands.

PROCEDURE

INSTALL REAR NO. 2 SEATBACK SET BRACKET
1. *a Arrow Mark
  
  Insert the guides.
  
  Note
  
  Align the arrow mark to the upside of the vehicle and install.
2. Install the No. 2 rear seatback set bracket with the 2 bolts.
  
  Torque:
  
  20 N*m { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }
INSTALL REAR NO. 1 SEATBACK SET BRACKET
Tech Tips

Use the same procedure for the opposite side.
1. Insert the guide.
2. Install the rear No. 1 seatback set bracket with the bolt.
  
  Torque:
  
  20 N*m { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }
INSTALL REAR SEATBACK HOLDER
Tech Tips

Use the same procedure for the opposite side.
1. Install in this Direction
  
  Attach the claws and guides and install a new rear seatback holder.

INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK

Tech Tips

Use the same procedure for the 3 parts.

Set a new rear seat cushion lock hook.
*a Sleeve

*b Protective Tape

Using 2 thin-bladed screwdrivers with their tips wrapped with protective tape, press the sleeve and attach the claws.

Note

Do not apply enough force to pierce the sleeve.

Check the installation condition.

INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY
1. Place the rear seatback assembly in the vehicle.
  Note
  - Do not damage the rear seatback assembly, body and body interior.
  - Placing the rear seatback assembly in the vehicle must be performed by multiple people.
2. Install in this Direction
  
  Attach the hook to the backside of the rear seatback assembly to temporarily install the rear seatback assembly.
3. Install the rear seatback assembly with the 4 bolts and nut.
  
  Torque:
  
  20 N*m { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }
4. *a Body Protrusion
  
  *b Location Pin
  
  Install the floor anchor of the rear seat outer belt assembly LH with the bolt.
  
  Torque:
  
  42 N*m { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }
  
  Note
  
  When installing, make sure that the body protrusion comes between the location pins of the floor anchor of the rear seat outer belt assembly LH.
5. Check ELR lock
  1. With the seat belt installed to the vehicle, check that the seat belt locks when it is pulled out quickly.

  Install the floor anchor of the rear seat outer belt assembly RH with the bolt.
  
  Torque:
  
  42 N*m { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }
  
  Note
  
  When installing, make sure that the body protrusion comes between the location pins of the floor anchor of the rear seat outer belt assembly RH.
7. Check ELR lock
  1. With the seat belt installed to the vehicle, check that the seat belt locks when it is pulled out quickly.
8. *a Location
  
  Install the floor anchor of the rear center seat outer belt assembly with the nut.
  
  Torque:
  
  42 N*m { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }
  
  Note
  
  The floor anchor of the rear center seat outer belt assembly must not overlap the location.
9. Check ELR lock:
  1. With the seat belt installed to the vehicle, check that the seat belt locks when it is pulled out quickly.
10. Install in this Direction
  
  Attach the button to install the belt band.
11. Rear Seat Airbag Assembly Connector
  
  Attach the guide and claw and install the connector holder.
12. Connect the rear center seat armrest assembly connector.
13. Connect the seat wire connector.
14. Connect the rear seat airbag assembly connector.
  1. Before connecting the rear seat airbag assembly connector, check that the CPA is positioned as shown in the illustration.
    
    *a CPA - -
  2. Holding the sides of the CPA of the rear seat airbag assembly connector, connect the connector by engaging it until a "click" sound is heard.
    
    Note
    
    Be careful not to damage the front seat airbag connector or wire harness.
    
    When connecting the connector, push the connector straight in.
    
    Do not connect the connector while holding components other than the CPA.
    
    If the top of the CPA is held down when connecting the connector, the half connection prevention mechanism will not function due to deformation of the CPA. Therefore, hold the sides of the CPA.
INSTALL NO. 1 SEAT ARMREST CAP
1. Install in this Direction
  
  Attach the claws and guides and install the rear No. 1 seat armrest cap.
INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY
1. Place the rear seat cushion assembly in the vehicle.
2. w/ Seat Belt Warning System:
  1. Attach the clamp.
  2. Connect the connector.
3. w/ Seat Heater System:
  1. Connect the 2 seat heater connectors.
4. Install in this Direction
  
  Attach the 2 hooks on the rear end of the rear seat cushion assembly to the rear seatback assembly.
5. Install in this Direction
  
  +Push in the installation direction shown in the illustration, attach the front hooks of the rear seat cushion assembly to install the rear seat cushion assembly.
  Note
  
  Be sure to attach the front hooks of rear seat cushion one at a time.
  
  Check that the rear seat cushion lock hooks and the rear seat cushion assembly are securely fastened.
