VACUUM PUMP(for 8GR-FKS) ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. OPERATION CHECK


    1. Remove cowl top ventilator louver sub-assembly.

      Click here

    2. Remove v-bank cover sub-assembly.

      Click here

    3. Remove radiator cover plate.

      Click here

    4. Remove fender apron brace sub-assembly RH.

      Click here

    5. Slide the clip and disconnect the union to check valve hose from the vacuum pump assembly.

      *a Vacuum Gauge
      *b Plug

      Connect the hose of the vacuum gauge to the vacuum pump assembly.

    7. Start the engine and warm it up for more than 2 minutes.

    8. With the engine idling, check the vacuum of the vacuum pump assembly.

      Standard Pressure
      More than 86.7 kPa (650 mmHg, 25.6 in.Hg)

      If the pressure is less than the standard, disassemble and inspect the vacuum pump. If necessary, replace the vacuum pump assembly.

      Tech Tips

      Always perform this operation check procedure after replacing or servicing the vacuum pump assembly.

    9. Remove the vacuum gauge from the vacuum pump assembly.

    10. Connect the union to check valve hose to the vacuum pump assembly, and slide the clip to secure it.

    11. Install Remove fender apron brace sub-assembly RH.

    12. Install radiator cover plate.

    13. Install v-bank cover sub-assembly.

    14. Install cowl top ventilator louver sub-assembly.
