EXHAUST MANIFOLD REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

1. REMOVE NO. 2 CYLINDER HEAD COVER

2. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR

   Click here

3. REMOVE WIRE HARNESS CLAMP BRACKET

   
   

   1. 

      Disconnect the wire harness clamp from the wire harness clamp bracket.

   2. Disconnect the clamp and fuel tube sub-assembly from the wire harness clamp bracket.

   3. Remove the bolt and wire harness clamp bracket.

4. REMOVE NO. 1 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR

   
   

   1. 

      Remove the 3 bolts and No. 1 exhaust manifold heat insulator.

5. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the front exhaust pipe sub-assembly from the center exhaust pipe assembly.

   2. Remove the gasket from the front exhaust pipe sub-assembly.

   3. Remove the 2 bolts, 2 compression springs and front exhaust pipe sub-assembly.

   4. Remove the gasket from the exhaust manifold.

6. REMOVE MANIFOLD STAY

   
   

   1. 

      Remove the 3 bolts and manifold stay.

7. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD

   
   

   1. 

      Remove the 5 nuts and exhaust manifold.

   2. Remove the exhaust manifold to head gasket from the cylinder head sub-assembly.

8. REMOVE NO. 2 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR

   
   

   1. 

      Remove the 3 bolts and No. 2 exhaust manifold heat insulator.
