  • When removing the rear door glass sub-assembly LH, move the rear door glass sub-assembly LH to the lowest position before disconnecting the battery negative (-) terminal.

  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 3 TORX screws.

      Remove the 2 bolts.

    4. Remove the release plate of the rear door outside handle frame sub-assembly LH in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration to remove the rear door lock assembly LH.

      Note

      Do not damage the vehicle body with the rear door lock assembly LH.

      Tech Tips

      Remove the rear door lock assembly LH while supporting it with one hand.

    5. When reusing rear door lock assembly LH:

        Remove the door lock wire harness seal from the rear door lock assembly LH.

      Using a thin-bladed screwdriver, detach the claw and open the rear door lock cover sub-assembly LH as shown in the illustration.

      Detach the claw and remove the rear door lock cover sub-assembly LH.
