TRANSMISSION WIRE(for 8GR-FKS) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL TRANSMISSION WIRE


    1. Coat the O-ring of the transmission wire with ATF.

    2. Pass the transmission wire through the installation mouth of the automatic transmission assembly.

      *a Torque Wrench Fulcrum Length
      B006DHE Turn

      Using a 10 mm union nut wrench, install the bolt.

      Torque:
      Specified tightening torque
      5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }

      Note


      • When reusing the transmission wire, inspect the O-ring.

      • Make sure that the O-ring is not cracked or jammed when installing the transmission wire.

      Tech Tips


      • Calculate the torque wrench reading when changing the fulcrum length of the torque wrench.

      • When using a union nut wrench (fulcrum length of 22 mm (0.8661 in.)) + torque wrench (fulcrum length of 185 mm (7.2835 in.)): 4.8 N*m (49 kgf*cm, 42 in.*lbf)

      B006DHE Push Up

      Connect the transmission wire connector and raise the lever to engage the claw.

      Tech Tips

      Push up the lever until the claw of the transmission wire connector makes a connection sound.

      Install the 3 transmission wire clamps with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }
