LIGHTING SYSTEM Rear Fog Light Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) controls the rear fog light.

Note


  • Before replacing the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU), refer to Service Bulletin.

  • First perform the communication function inspections in How to Proceed with Troubleshooting to confirm that there are no CXPI communication malfunctions before troubleshooting this symptom.

  • First, confirm that there is no malfunction in the power integration system. Refer to the How to Proceed with Troubleshooting procedure.

  • After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  • When disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal while performing repairs, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS


    1. Turn the rear fog light switch on.

    2. Using the GTS, read the Data List.

    1. Disconnect the L86 rear light lens and body LH connector.

    2. Turn the rear fog light switch off.

    3. Turn the rear fog light switch on.

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR LIGHT LENS AND BODY - NO. 3 SEMICONDUCTOR POWER INTEGRATION ECU)


    1. Disconnect the L86 rear light lens and body LH connector.

    2. Disconnect the L90 rear light lens and body RH connector.

    3. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

    4. Disconnect the L111 No. 3 semiconductor power integration ECU connector.

    5. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      L86-10 (B) or L111-19 (L) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
