FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat) REMOVAL

  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for RHD vehicles.

  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the RH side.


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the front seat headrest assembly.

  3. REMOVE INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER


    1. Operate the power seat switch (slide switch) to move the seat to the foremost position.

      Using a moulding remover, detach the 2 claws and remove the inner seat track bracket cover.

  4. REMOVE OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER

      Using a moulding remover, detach the 2 claws and remove the outer seat track bracket cover.

  5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY


    1. A01E1MX

      Remove the 2 bolts.

    2. Operate the power seat switch (slide switch) to move the seat to the rearmost position.

    3. A01DXYZ

      Remove the 2 bolts.

    4. Operate the power seat switch (slide switch) and move the seat to the center position, operate the power seat switch (reclining switch) and move the seatback to the upright position, and operate the power seat switch (lifter switch) and move the seat to the uppermost position.

    5. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

      CAUTION:

      w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:

      Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

      Note

      When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

    6. Disconnect the connector under the seat.

    7. Remove the front seat assembly from the vehicle.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
