BATTERY REMOVAL

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed and installed, or replaced during the battery removal/installation are shown below.

  • After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  • When replacing the battery, use a new battery of the same dimensions with a capacity of 51 Ah or more at a 20-hour rate.

  • After replacing the battery, install the ventilation hole plug supplied with the new battery or the ventilation hole plug from the old battery to the ventilation hole on the side to which the battery hose is not connected.
