VACUUM PUMP(for V35A-FTS) REMOVAL

This procedure includes the removal of small-head bolts. Refer to Small-Head Bolts of Basic Repair Hint to identify the small-head bolts.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  2. REMOVE RADIATOR COVER PLATE

    Click here

  3. REMOVE HOOD TO COWL TOP SEAL

    Click here

  4. REMOVE CENTER NO. 2 COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER

    Click here

  5. REMOVE FENDER APRON BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

    Click here

  6. DRAIN COOLANT (for Intercooler)

    Click here

  7. REMOVE THROTTLE W/MOTOR BODY ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  8. DISCONNECT FUEL VAPOR FEED PIPE

    Click here

  9. REMOVE V-BANK COVER BRACKET

    Click here

  10. REMOVE NO. 1 VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  11. DISCONNECT ENGINE WIRE HARNESS

    Click here

  12. DISCONNECT INLET HEATER WATER HOSE

    Click here

  13. DISCONNECT OUTLET HEATER WATER HOSE

    Click here

  14. REMOVE NO. 1 WATER BY-PASS TUBE

    Click here

  15. REMOVE WIRING HARNESS CLAMP BRACKET

      Detach the clamp.

    2. Remove the bolt and wiring harness clamp bracket.

  16. REMOVE VACUUM PUMP ASSEMBLY

      *a Retainer
      B006AHR Pinch
      B006B42 Pull off

      Pinch the retainer of the connector, and then pull the connector off of the vacuum pump assembly.

      Note

      Be sure to disconnect the connector by hand.

      Remove the 3 bolts and vacuum pump assembly from the engine assembly.

      Remove the No. 1 vacuum pump O-ring.
