STEERING CONTROL ECU REMOVAL

The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization, or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed, or replaced during the front steering control ECU removal/installation are shown below.

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    1. Fold back the floor carpet.

      Disconnect the 4 connectors from the front steering control ECU.

      Remove the 2 nuts and front steering control ECU.
