Note
After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
Note
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM POSITIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY
REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER
REMOVE NO. 2 CYLINDER HEAD COVER
REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP AND HOSE
REMOVE BATTERY CLAMP SUB-ASSEMBLY
Remove the bolt and loosen the nut.
Detach the hook of the battery clamp sub-assembly from the battery carrier assembly, and then remove the battery clamp sub-assembly.
REMOVE BATTERY
REMOVE BATTERY TRAY
DISCONNECT RADIATOR HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY
Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the radiator hose sub-assembly from the battery carrier assembly.
REMOVE BATTERY CARRIER ASSEMBLY
Remove the 4 bolts and battery carrier assembly.
REMOVE BATTERY BRACKET REINFORCEMENT
Remove the 2 bolts and battery bracket reinforcement.
DISCONNECT OIL COOLER
Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the oil cooler from the transmission oil cooler bracket.
REMOVE TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER BRACKET
for 2WD
for AWD
REMOVE FLYWHEEL HOUSING SIDE COVER
Push up the flywheel housing side cover as shown in the illustration to detach the claw, and remove the flywheel housing side cover.
REMOVE STARTER ASSEMBLY
Disconnect the terminal cap.
Remove the nut and disconnect the starter wire.
Disconnect the starter connector.
Remove the 2 bolts and starter assembly.
