FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION

Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


  1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY


    1. Place the front seat assembly in the cabin.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    2. Connect the connectors under the front seat assembly.

    3. A01IQNC

      Temporarily install the front seat assembly with the 4 bolts.

    4. Lift up the seat track adjusting handle and move the front seat assembly to the foremost position.

    5. A01IPH5E02

      Tighten the 2 bolts in the order shown in the illustration.

      Torque:
      37 N*m  { 377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf }

    6. Lift up the seat track adjusting handle and move the front seat assembly to the rearmost position.

    7. A01IRHNE02

      Tighten the bolts in the order shown in the illustration.

      Torque:
      37 N*m  { 377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 FLOOR PAD


    1. Lift up the seat track adjusting handle and move the front seat assembly to the foremost position.

    2. A01IO1R

      Install the front No. 2 floor pad.

  3. INSTALL NO. 2 FLOOR BOARD


    1. A01IREU

      Install the No. 2 floor board.

  4. INSTALL INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER LH


    1. A01INEI

      Attach the 2 claws to install the inner track bracket cover LH.

  5. INSTALL OUTER SEAT TRACK COVER LH


    1. A01IN2T

      Attach the claw to install the outer seat track cover LH.

  6. INSTALL FRONT SEAT OUTER TRACK BRACKET COVER LH


    1. Lift up the seat track adjusting handle and move the front seat assembly to the rearmost position.

    2. A01INJ7

      Attach the 5 claws to install the front seat outer track bracket cover LH.

  7. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the front seat headrest assembly.

  8. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  9. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT

    Click here

  10. INSPECT FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Heater System)


    1. Check the seat heater operation.


      1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

      2. Turn the seat heater switch on.

      3. Wait 5 minutes or more and confirm that the seat surface becomes warm.
