  • "ECM Communication Stop Mode" in "DTC Combination Table" applies.

Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ECM - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)


    1. for 1ZR-FAE, 2ZR-FAE:

      1. Disconnect the ECM connectors.

      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        A76-32 (EC) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
        C111-26 (E04) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
        C111-28 (ME01) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
        C111-57 (E01) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
        C111-58 (E02) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
        C111-59 (E1) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Voltage
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        C111-29 (+BM) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
        A76-1 (BATT) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
        A76-3 (+B2) - Body ground Battery positive (+) voltage applied to terminal A76-46 (MREL) 11 to 14 V
        A76-2 (+B) - Body ground Battery positive (+) voltage applied to terminal A76-46 (MREL) 11 to 14 V

      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        A76-4 (E1) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
        A76-5 (E2) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
        A76-17 (E3) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
        A76-18 (E4) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Voltage
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        A76-15 (BATT) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
        A76-1 (+B3) - Body ground Battery positive (+) voltage applied to terminal A76-9 (MREL) 11 to 14 V
        A76-14 (+B2) - Body ground Battery positive (+) voltage applied to terminal A76-9 (MREL) 11 to 14 V
        A76-2 (+B) - Body ground Battery positive (+) voltage applied to terminal A76-9 (MREL) 11 to 14 V
