СИСТЕМА SFI (для моделей без системы РОГ), Diagnostic DTC:P0192, P0193

DTC Code DTC Name
P0192 Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Low Input
P0193 Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit High Input

DESCRIPTION

The fuel pressure sensor is installed on the delivery pipe. The fuel pressure sensor changes the fuel pressure into an electrical signal and sends the signal to the ECM. If the sensor output stops, the ECM will stop the fuel pump (for high pressure) and supply fuel using the fuel pump (for low pressure).

DTC No. DTC Detection Condition Trouble Area
P0192 Open or short in fuel pressure sensor circuit for 3 seconds or more (1 trip detection logic)
  • Open or short in fuel pressure sensor circuit

  • Fuel pressure sensor

  • ECM

P0193

Tech Tips

If DTC P0192 or P0193 is output, using the GTS confirm the fuel pressure in the delivery pipe by entering the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List / All Data / Fuel Press.

Fuel Pressure (kPa) Malfunction
Approximately 0
  • PR, E2 circuit short

  • VC circuit open

Approximately 25000 or higher
  • PR, VC circuit short

  • PR circuit open

  • E2 circuit open

MONITOR DESCRIPTION

These DTCs are stored if the fuel pressure sensor output voltage is out of the standard range due to an open or short in the sensor circuit.

MONITOR STRATEGY

Frequency of Operation Continuous

CONFIRMATION DRIVING PATTERN

  1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

  2. Turn the power switch on (IG) and turn the GTS on.

  3. Clear the DTCs (even if no DTCs are stored, perform the clear DTC procedure).

  4. Turn the power switch off and wait for at least 30 seconds.

  5. Turn the power switch on (IG) and turn the GTS on.

  6. Put the engine in inspection mode (maintenance mode) Click here.

  7. Start the engine.

  8. Idle the engine for 10 seconds.

  9. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Trouble Codes.

  10. Read the pending DTCs.

    Tech Tips

    • If a pending DTC is output, the system is malfunctioning.

    • If a pending DTC is not output, perform the following procedure.

  11. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Utility / All Readiness.

  12. Input the DTC: P0192 or P0193.

  13. Check the DTC judgment result.

    GTS Display Description
    NORMAL
    • DTC judgment completed

    • System normal

    ABNORMAL
    • DTC judgment completed

    • System abnormal

    INCOMPLETE
    • DTC judgment not completed

    • Perform driving pattern after confirming DTC enabling conditions

    N/A
    • Unable to perform DTC judgment

    • Number of DTCs which do not fulfill DTC preconditions has reached ECU memory limit

    Tech Tips

    • If the judgment result shows NORMAL, the system is normal.

    • If the judgment result shows ABNORMAL, the system has a malfunction.

    • If the judgment result shows INCOMPLETE or N/A, perform the Confirmation Driving Pattern and check the DTC judgment result again.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Tech Tips

Read freeze frame data using the GTS. The ECM records vehicle and driving condition information as freeze frame data the moment a DTC is stored. When troubleshooting, freeze frame data can help determine if the vehicle was moving or stationary, if the engine was warmed up or not, if the air fuel ratio was lean or rich, and other data from the time the malfunction occurred.

PROCEDURE

  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (FUEL PRESS)

    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG) and turn the GTS on.

    3. Put the engine in inspection mode (maintenance mode) Click here.

    4. Start the engine.

    5. Turn the GTS on.

    6. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List / Fuel Press.

    7. Read the values.

      OK
2500 to 6000 kPag (Idling with warm up engine).

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ECM - FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR)

    1. Disconnect the ECM connector.

    2. Disconnect the fuel pressure sensor connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F70-102 (VCPR) - F45-1 (VC) Always Below 1 Ω
