Tech Tips


  • Use these procedures to troubleshoot the engine immobiliser system.

  • *: Use the GTS.

  • If the ignition switch cannot be turned to ON, communication with the GTS can be confirmed by connecting the GTS to the vehicle and turning a courtesy light switch on and off at intervals of 1.5 seconds or less until communication between the GTS and vehicle begins.

  2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE

    Standard voltage
    11 to 14 V

    If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding.

    A simple method to determine whether the battery is depleted is to operate the horn.

  3. CHECK COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM*


    1. Use the GTS to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.
