VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM VSC SPORT Indicator Light does not Come ON

DESCRIPTION

The skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) is connected to the combination meter assembly via CAN communication.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

   
   

   1. Check if a CAN communication system DTC is output Click here.

      Result
      Result Proceed to DTC is not output. A DTC is output. B

   INSPECT CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM Click here

2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (VSC SPORT INDICATOR LIGHT)

   
   

   1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

   2. Start the engine.

   3. Select the Active Test using the GTS Click here.

      Sports Mode Indicator Light	VSC SPORT indicator light	Indicator light ON/OFF	Observe combination meter assembly

   4. Check that the VSC SPORT indicator light on the combination meter assembly turns on or off in accordance with the GTS operation.

      OK
      The VSC SPORT indicator light turns on or off in accordance with the Active Test operation.

   REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY Click here

   NG

3. INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Turn the ignition switch off.

   2. Perform an Active Test of the combination meter assembly (meter CPU) using the GTS Click here.

   3. Check the combination meter assembly.

      OK
      The VSC SPORT indicator light turns on or off in accordance with the Active Test operation.
