POWER STEERING ECU INSTALLATION

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.


  1. INSTALL POWER STEERING ECU ASSEMBLY


    1. Connect the 3 connectors to the power steering ECU.

    2. Return the lock lever of each connector to its original position and attach the 2 claws.

      Note

      Make sure the claws of the lock levers are securely attached.

    3. Install the power steering ECU to the battery tray with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      14 N*m  { 138 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL INVERTER ASSEMBLY WITH CONVERTER

  3. CONNECT CABLE TO AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.


    1. A01FTE7

      Connect cable to the auxiliary battery positive (+) terminal with the nut.

      Torque:
      6.8 N*m  { 69 kgf*cm, 60 in.*lbf }

    2. Install the terminal cover.

    3. Connect cable to the auxiliary battery negative (-) terminal.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

  4. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER LH


    1. Install the luggage compartment trim cover.

  5. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT


    1. Install the luggage compartment floor mat.

  6. INITIALIZE ROTATION ANGLE SENSOR VALUE AND CALIBRATE TORQUE SENSOR ZERO POINT
