Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

Note
After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY
REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
Place your hands on the inner portion of the rear door scuff plate LH and detach the 2 claws labeled A, 6 claws labeled B and 2 claws labeled C in the order shown in the illustration.
Raise the rear door scuff plate LH to detach the 4 clips on the outer side and remove it.

REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH LH
Detach the 4 claws and guide and remove the rear seat side garnish LH.
REMOVE REAR AIRBAG SENSOR LH
Check that the engine switch is off.
Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal.
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
Disconnect the connector from the rear airbag sensor LH.
Note
When disconnecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
Push the housing lock and slide the outer housing. (At this time, the connector cannot be disconnected yet.)

Push the housing lock again and disconnect the connector.
Note
Do not push down the part (A) shown in the illustration when disconnecting.
Remove the bolt and rear airbag sensor LH.
Note
Loosen the bolt while holding the rear airbag sensor LH because the rear airbag sensor pin (stopper) is easily damaged.
