DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the blind spot monitor sensor LH detects a ground short in the outer rear view mirror indicator LH.

Both of the following conditions are met:


  • Blind spot monitor main switch (integration control and panel assembly) is on.

  • The current that is sent from the blind spot monitor sensor to the indicator is above a specified level for a specified period of time.

  • Harness or connector

  • Outer mirror LH

  • Outer mirror actuator assembly LH

  • Front multiplex network door ECU LH

  • Blind spot monitor sensor LH

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

When checking for DTCs, make sure that the blind spot monitor main switch (integration control and panel assembly) is on.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    2. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again Click here.

      OK
      No DTCs are output.

    NG

    CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH - FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU LH) Click here

    OK

    USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK Click here

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH - FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU LH)


    1. Disconnect connector U46 from the blind spot monitor sensor LH.

    2. Disconnect connector Q19 from the front multiplex network door ECU LH.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Q19-21 (BSMI) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK

  3. INSPECT OUTER MIRROR LH (OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR INDICATOR LH)


    1. Remove the outer mirror LH Click here.

    2. Inspect the outer mirror LH (outer rear view mirror indicator RH) Click here.


    NG

    REPLACE OUTER MIRROR LH Click here

    OK

  4. REPLACE OUTER MIRROR ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Replace the outer mirror actuator assembly LH Click here.


    NEXT

  5. CHECK DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    2. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again Click here.

      OK
      No DTCs are output.

    REPLACE FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU LH Click here

  6. REPLACE FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU LH


    1. Replace the multiplex network door ECU LH Click here.
