C1AE7 Rear Left Center Sensor Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

The No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (RLC sensor) is installed on the rear bumper. The ECU detects obstacles based on signals received from the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (RLC sensor). If the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (RLC sensor) has an open circuit or other malfunction, it will not function normally.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

IIf the DTC is output after repairs, turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the LEXUS parking assist-sensor system on. Then clear the DTC Click here.

  2. REPLACE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (RLC SENSOR)


    1. Replace the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (RLC sensor) with a normally functioning one Click here.

      Tech Tips

      All of the sensors are interchangeable. To confirm whether a sensor is functioning normally, switch it with a known good sensor from the other end of the vehicle.
