DESCRIPTION

The No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (FLC sensor) is installed on the front bumper. The ECU detects obstacles based on signals received from the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (FLC sensor). If the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (FLC sensor) has an open or other malfunction, it will not function normally.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

If the DTC is output after repairs, turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the LEXUS parking assist-sensor system on. Then clear the DTC Click here.

  2. REPLACE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (FLC SENSOR)


    1. Replace the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (FLC sensor) with a normally functioning sensor Click here.

      Tech Tips

      All of the sensors are interchangeable. To confirm whether a sensor is functioning normally, switch it with a known good sensor from the other end of the vehicle.
