DYNAMIC REAR STEERING SYSTEM DRS System does not Operate

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

If the rear steering link assembly or the rear suspension is removed and installed, replaced, or adjusted, after performing actuator calibration value initialization, perform neutral position memorization and motor rotation angle sensor calibration Click here.

  3. READ VALUE USING GTS (ABNORMAL OPERATION HISTORY)

    1. Turn the engine switch off.

    2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    4. Turn the GTS on.

    5. Enter the following menus: Chassis / DRS / Data List / Abnormal Operation History.

    6. According to the display on the GTS, read the Abnormal Operation History.

  4. CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS

    1. Check if the system stopped operating under severe driving conditions, such as on a rocky or muddy road.

      Result
      Result Proceed to
The system stopped under non-severe conditions. A
The system stopped under severe driving conditions. B

      Tech Tips

When the load torque is very large, such as when driving on bad roads, the actuator can overheat easily and the system is stopped to prevent overheating.
